The Futurity Road.
I began starting two year olds when I was 8 yrs old. After working for many (World Champion guys, all over the 70 yrs old mark), starting colts for these Haul of Fame horseman. I'd lost track of the multiple events I'd prepared horses for. From their first time with a saddle, bridle, and rider, to the first experience hauling to the show. Even now, after being inducted into the 2017 MSA Haul Of Fame! I recall some of the trailer loads full of two and three yr olds that have earnings on them from their very first trip away from home. Winning RES. CHAMPION at my first futurity in 2006. We only began there, winning my first futurity in 2007. Derby, Futurity, Jr. Horse Shows and competitions, I truly enjoy the seasoning of young performance horses.
My most valued mentor said, "Brian, if you realy want to learn the feel and timing that's most valuable to give a colt when you start one, you should get a colt into the Snaffle Bit Futurity." And here we are !
